Actor Lee Jung-jae's first Hollywood entry, Disney Plus's "the acolyte," Season 2 production, has been confirmed.


According to an exclusive report by the US entertainment media DEADLINE on the 19th (local time), the production of the Star Wars series Disney+ "Acolite" Season 2 was canceled.

Disney+ made the decision due to the low popularity of the first season. "Acolite," which was considered one of the most anticipated original series produced by global OTT this year, did not really have much impact on the growth of Disney+ subscribers. It did not have much impact in Korea as well as the U.S.

Deadline said, "I'm not surprised that 'Acolite' canceled the production of Season 2," adding, "This work was not bad for critics in Rotten Tomatoes, an evaluation index of overseas critics, but the box office performance was sluggish."

Meanwhile, "Acolite," which was released on Disney+ on June 5, is a mystery action thriller about an unprecedented Jedi serial murder case in an era called the golden age of the Jedi Knights defending peace, and the emerging dark forces in the secret and truth behind it.
